Meet Our Team

Jeff McLean

Co-Founder/ CEO

Jeff McLean has nearly 30 years of experience in the environmental industry. As CEO of Alliance Environmental Group, Jeff played an integral role in developing the company’s quality control department and implementing it across all offices.

He oversees all of Alliance Environmental’s branch offices, and is also responsible for cost-control, field operations, customer service, business development and sales, while still maintaining direct involvement with clients. Under his leadership, the company continues to show significant growth.

McLean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a minor in marketing from the University of La Verne. He has been a volunteer with the Free Wheelchair Mission since 2008, where he helps raise funds and sponsor events to support the mission’s goals. He has also traveled to Peru with the mission to deliver wheelchairs to people with disabilities living in developing nations. Jeff also played an integral role in the development and implementation of one of Alliance Environmental’s biggest fundraisers, an annual charity golf tournament benefiting Susan G. Komen, a prominent leader in the fight against breast cancer.

McLean is a:
certified Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor, Lead Supervisor/Competent Person, Asbestos Building Inspector and ThermaPureHeat™, Levels I & II and has met HUD and OSHA regulations on Lead-Based Paint Abatement and Inspection Procedures. He is approved by the Department of Health Services and the state of California, and is certified in California and Nevada.

Daniel Murillo, Chief Financial Officer

Daniel Murillo is an accomplished financial executive with over 15 years of experience in leading and growing successful businesses. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Alliance Environmental, Daniel is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Alliance Environmental, Daniel held several senior finance positions at leading companies in various industries. He has a track record of success in managing complex financial transactions, implementing financial systems and controls, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Daniel’s leadership style is characterized by a hands-on approach, a focus on driving results, and a commitment to building strong relationships with stakeholders. He is a strategic thinker who is able to identify and evaluate opportunities for growth, and he has a strong track record of delivering results through effective financial management and disciplined execution.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family doing outdoor activities and traveling. He holds an undergraduate degree from UCLA and earned his MBA at Loyola Marymount University.

Ed Work

VP of Alliance Northern California region

Edward Work is responsible for the Bay Area/ San Francisco, East Bay / Central Valley, Santa Clara, and Monterey / Santa Cruz offices. Work graduated with honors from San Jose State University in 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in business with an emphasis in marketing.

He is a certified Asbestos Supervisor/Contractor, a ThermaPureHeat Technician Level III, maintains a lead supervisor certification and is a Branch 2 Pest Control Operator. He is also a member of the National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA).

Craig Sawyer, Vice President of Operations

Senior Vice President of Operation

Craig Sawyer is a highly accomplished Vice-President of Operations with over 15 years of experience in leading successful teams and driving operational excellence. He is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Alliance Environmental, including staff management, revenue forecasts, profit and loss analysis, new business development, and customer service.

Craig has been a vital member of the Alliance Environmental team since 2005, and has played a key role in the company’s growth and success. He has a deep understanding of the environmental contracting industry, and is known for his ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies that optimize performance and drive results.

Craig’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and a minor in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He has also earned several professional certifications and licenses, including Asbestos and Lead Supervisor, Branch 2 Pest Control, ThermaPureHeat Technician, and NADCA certification as an ASCS and Home Improvement Salesperson.

Craig is a hands-on leader who is dedicated to delivering exceptional results. He is known for his ability to motivate and inspire teams, and his commitment to providing the highest level of customer service. He is a strategic thinker who is able to identify and pursue opportunities for growth, and has a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence.

Carlos Sanguinetti

VP of Sales

Carlos Sanguinetti is the VP of Sales and he joined Alliance Environmental in 2001. He brings extensive sales experience from his years of employment within the insurance and financial industries. He is responsible for over 50 employees and the operation, profitability, and overseeing the sales managers and department at Alliance Environmental.

As a mold remediation and asbestos abatement specialist, he works closely with contractors, insurance adjusters, realtors and property managers.

Prior to joining Alliance Environmental, Carlos worked as an associate financial planner for Raymond J. Lucia Companies, where he worked closely with several partners in the firm providing retirement planning, estate planning, fund management, and investment strategies services.

Richard Solehjou

General Counsel

Richard Solehjou is a seasoned attorney that specializes in Corporate and Business law. As the Director of Business Affairs and Compliance, Rich is responsible for the company’s legal affairs, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and advising senior leadership on legal and business matters.

Prior to joining Alliance Environmental, Rich consulted for some of the largest companies in the world as well as worked in the luxury sector. His wide breadth of experience working in different industries allows him to take on different perspectives. Rich believes that strategic vision is crucial to the success of the company and takes pride in taking a vision and turning that into a reality. “I have always believed in cohesion between business and legal. We are on the same team and should have the same goals. If I can be known as that bridge between business and legal, then I know I am on the right path.” Rich’s leadership style is characterized by his strategic thinking, commitment to drive success, and empowering his team. He believes that a company should have core values, vision, and goals but that ultimately it is the people behind the company that drive success. He is a skilled negotiator, who can navigate complex legal and business issues, and has a proven track record of success.

Rich’s favorite hobby is lifting weights and going to the gym. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from San Diego State University and a JD from Chapman University, Fowler School of Law.
